No IPL Final is a one day affair. It’s a series of individual wars—face-to-face player vs—player matches that turn the tide, ruptured alliances, and which ultimately could find the difference between a champion and a runner-up. The top five contests that will decide the entire game of the IPL 2026 Final between RCB and GT have been listed. Now is the detailed analysis of each one by Reddyannaofficial.

Match-Up 1: Rabada vs Virat (Overs 1-6)
1st round alpha match-up. The opening confrontation. Battle which will influence the whole innings
Rabada will play their LBW and caught-behind game against Kohli’s body angle in his wide-crease delivery. His bouncer, which will be used over 3/4 when Kohli is a little more at ease, will see if the great man can have the timing and positioning right to take the ball into the hook slot at high pace. In the power play, it’s the seaming ball over a quality length which is his forte; his yorker at death comes later.
Kohli will be measured by his reply which lies in his approach. He will play cover and deliver the ball in full. He will hit the ball that he missed. He will play through midwicket on anything that is on the stumps. He won’t take undue chances. He will use his eye to see the good delivery and time it properly to correct it.
Match-Up 2: Rashid vs Rajat (Overs 12-16)
The most dramatic duel ever! Now Patidar has delivered the bodyblow he got to Rashid this season — the bodyblow which came in the Qualifier 1 when he ripped him off with impudent ease for boundaries. For a redemption fire, Rashid will be burning.
Rashid’s shot was the bigger googly. A ball that goes off the off-stump but stays on the face-off line, set-up a drive that cuts to the offside and/or keeper’s arm or slip. Patidar’s response: “Come right out, not at all. play down. Strike back on his head. Call the field shoddy.
This is the clash of a genius bowler vs a genius batter. Play cricket defines such a juncture in the game with this kind of match-up. It will be here.
Match-Up 3: Bhuvneshwar vs Gill (Over 1)
The Bhuvneshwar side team has been having the best delivery in the past few days that he delivers the ball in line with the cue but at the last moment it swirls into the right-handers and claims for his wickets, which has been his most regular delivery in IPL 2026. It is a very good classical technique, but through a gate and making an inswing to the upper end of the stumps is a very dangerous ball. With a single ball inside from Gill on the far side, and without their captain, their top batsman and their heart-and-soul batter in the midfield, GT have slain three out of the four they need before the match is even starting.
Gill will try to hit the maiden ball which will allay anxieties, create a positive environment and message RCB’s bowlers. If his drives over a full pitch make it outside off, then the cover drive will be on target for the boundary.
Match-Up 4: Mohammed Siraj vs Devdutt Padikkal (Overs 3-5)
Siraj has a good understanding of his skillset and familiarity with Padikkat as they have spent their early years cooperating in RCB. He’s a player who loves to play through the leg side, has a love of the shorter ball headed into square-leg and, whenever he’s unsettled, he can be targeted off the angled delivery.
Padikkal’s power comes from his ability to attack when he competes in. In the first 6-8 balls he will be in a period of caution against Siraj, but will get the feel of the situation after that and start his gameplay. Siraj’s strategy will be to see that he does not get any deliveries in those scoring areas during those early deliveries, and to get him off with a slower ball around over 5.
Match-Up 5: Jason vs Rajat (Overs 17-19)
The death-overs confrontation. The angles and bounce that Holder’s body size (6’5″) offers are unique among T20 bowlers. From this position, getting his yorker in under the ball is difficult, and generally takes a lot of effort, as it tends to be thrown at an angle to the infield.
Patidar in the death will be in maximum-attack mode. Whatever the line and length, he will be looking to clear off all lines. Holder will predominantly bowl hard, fast and full at the stumps on plenty of repetitions and give the bouncer a few so it can cause Patidar to lose his balance.
Conclusion: Three of five are in favour of the GT bowlers. Two appreciate RCB’s batting. The overall matchup of these two teams has been the closest it’s ever been and according to reddy anna RCB will win
